About Star Farms
Star Farms is a gated village in northern Lakewood Ranch, in Manatee County. Forestar Group, a majority-owned D.R. Horton subsidiary, is developing it on about 1,300 acres with roughly 2,800 planned homes, after the Saddlestone neighborhood added more than 570 acres to the original 700-acre plan. Builders selling there in 2026 include D.R. Horton, Homes by WestBay, Perry Homes, and John Cannon Homes, along with a Lee Wetherington Homes model, offering townhomes, attached villas, and single-family homes of about 1,460 to 5,000 square feet. The first amenity campus, The Resort Club, opened in April 2024 with a pool and spa, cabanas, a pet park, a coffee shop, and a wellness complex, and the village also has tennis, pickleball and basketball courts and a trail system. Star Farms has an HOA and is financed through the Lakewood Ranch Stewardship District.
