About Paradise Bay Estates Co-op
Paradise Bay Estates is a resident-owned manufactured home community in unincorporated west Bradenton, between Cortez Road West and Sarasota Bay, east of the fishing village of Cortez. It began as Twin Isle Estates in the 1920s and took the name Paradise Bay Trailer Park after a 1954 sale. Residents formed a not-for-profit cooperative in 1994, now Paradise Bay Estates, Inc., which owns about 47 acres of common land, and the county assesses each home site as a unit of the co-op. County records list about 620 sites, about 520 with manufactured homes, mostly single-wide and built before 1975, with some replaced since 2000. Shared facilities include a pool, a recreation hall, a shuffleboard court, a laundry building, and docks with boat slips. The co-op calls itself a 55+ community and also owns the neighboring Sarasota Bay RV Park. There is no CDD.
